Fresh Milk

Late Sunday evening my husband disappeared. He came home toting hobbles for Lolly’s (our new milk cow) back legs. Her milk was ready for us to start drinking, he explained, and the hobbles would keep her from stepping in or kicking over the milk bucket while he milked. (See this post for details.)

I am the mother of six learning to live in the country surrounded by in-laws. I've been married to the amazing Nate Palmer for 16 years; he is teaching me how to be a farm girl. In my spare time (okay--time I try really hard to set aside), I like to write. My first book, FALLING AWAKE, will be published in 2012 with Covenant Communications.
