ZmeasureMy site is undergoing a bit of construction. It’s my husband’s idea. He can’t stand the thought of me having an off-the-rack background any longer. He’s determined to get me into a more custom designed site. He does after all get paid to design these sorts of things for others. And I’m coming right along–kicking and screaming. Well not anymore, but I really hate this kind of change. The kind that makes me have to think a little more. Alright. It’s not that hard. I am just not in the mood to learn how to resize my photos to fit thumbnails on my front page. I’m a bit overwhelmed at the moment with making this

salsa and bottling these.

peachesLet’s just say my mind isn’t focusing on fixed aspect ratios. Don’t ask me to explain. I just plug in the numbers off of my little Post-It note by my computer and it works. If I remember.

Even my children have caught the-don’t-bother-Mom-right-now atmosphere in our home. They have been perfect angels thinking of all sorts of ways to entertain themselves…

AZE

BnGfar away from Mom.

‘Cause she can think of all sorts of things to clean, pick up and put away if they’re within earshot of the kitchen.

In the next couple of weeks I hope to get fixed aspect ratios reconfigured for my archive blogs and better categorize past posts. This will make it much easier to find recipes or anything else in the archives. There will also be some other changes as well in the coming weeks. After I bottle the last two boxes of peaches tomorrow, I get to pick up an unmentionable number of apples. So this may will surely take far longer than I’d like. Thanks for your patience. (Actually, I’m begging you to be patient with me. I’ll get it all done. Eventually.)

The comments section has changed a bit, too. On the left side of the message box is a place for you to type your name. You have to delete the word Name and type in your own or it appears as Name+whateveryoutype. Hopefully we (meaning my husband of course) can find out how to get rid of that little bug in the code. Also, for some reason it holds your first comment made on this reconstructed site for moderation. Please know, I’ll approve it and get it up as soon as I can. The next time you comment it should appear right away. So keep making comments, I love to hear from y’all. (Now that should make my husband’s Southern cousins feel right at home!)
