Another book about running that you might want to try is "Chi Running." Haven't read more than an excerpt yet, but it's supposed to be great.

I didn't know you'd had a miscarriage. (Not that such an announcement is easy to share.) I want you to know I'm so sorry.

I have a good friend who has two bad knees and a bad back. Both knees have had meniscus tears, and his back was injured in a fall twenty years ago. He's had constant back pain for the last 20 years, requiring weekly visits to a chiropractor, and lots of pills.

I convinced him to read "Born to Run", and buy some Vibrams, since I'd read online that some folks have seen their back pain get better when the stopped wearing shoes with heels.

Sure enough, that's what happened. Not only is his back pain entirely gone (except when he wears shoes with heels) but he can run without his knees hurting him.

It's changed his life. Just a thought...
