@Jana, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I bet things like this never happen in your classroom!

@L.A. I don't even want to think what you're thinking, but it did cross my mind. Especially since I once found a clump of manure under a living room chair. No pieces or tracks leading to it, just a clump. Farm life brings those kinds of ... shall we say ... presents (Karen) every so often. I'm just grateful it was dirt on the counter and not what L.A. was thinking!

@Tamara, A cookie?! I'm sorry.

@Betty, I remember those fights ... snowballs were softer

@Jenni, I don't want to think about that!

Very real and very funny. I find rocks in my dryer all the time. My youngest is 7, a girl. Really, I wouldn't put it past her, or my 11 yr. old son... but when do they start to think, "Hmm, maybe rocks (or dirt clods) stay outside." Meanwhile, clank clank clank from the dryer.

Kids leave the best things laying around. Maybe it will turn into a rock if it sits there long enough. Reminds me of the dirt clod fights we would have in the garden!!!!!!

It could have been something much worse than dirt. I won't say it, but I know you are all thinking it.
