Reading Suggestions Anyone?

Any ideas for chapter books I can read aloud to my children? Books that specifically would be interesting to this six-year-old and his nine-year-old sister?

I am the mother of six learning to live in the country surrounded by in-laws. I've been married to the amazing Nate Palmer for 17 years; he is teaching me how to be a farm girl.
